ENThe Stelvio pass became so famous not only for the fighting during the First World War but also thanks to the Italian road race "Giro d' Italia" that a lot of times ended here over 2700m asl.
About 1h and 20 min Bike shuttle to Stelvio pass. Starting point from Garibaldi refugio at 2800m asl, riding the "PACE" trail till Livigno on the tracks that were the enemy lines during the First World War, crossing the famous San Giacomo and Cancano lakes.
Great views of the summer ski resort of the Ortles mountain, old military trenches, gravel roads, smooth trails with somethimes deep cliffs on the side.
